The Park de la Seille

Covering an area of ​​20 hectares, the urban park of Metz was inaugurated on May 31, 2002. This vast garden is, like Les Arènes, one of the first realizations of the Quartier de l’Amphithéâtre.

A link between the southern districts of the city and the historic center, it is organized around the Seille to offer the Messins a harmonious space, conducive to relaxation and cultural and sporting leisure.

The fruit of an ambitious project, the Parc de la Seille is one of the major contemporary French parks that take into account both the use of places and the great natural balances.

The Botanical Garden

This French garden covers an area of ​​9200 m² where linden trees, chestnut trees and between 50 000 and 60 000 annual plants. A circular pool, landscaped with a jet of water, animates the center of the garden.

It is lined with prestigious buildings such as the Palace of Justice, the Superior School of Art of Lorraine and the entire Arsenal, which includes the old food store of the citadel, the former military arsenal, the Templar chapel and the Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains church.
It allows to have a pleasant view as it overlooks the valley of the Moselle and the lake, and opens on the Mont Saint-Quentin.
